Stoke Common

Stoke Common is interesting in that it can turn up some really good birds but at other times appear bird-less.  Today did not start of well but I did pick up a few birds such as Kestrel, Green Woodpecker, Skylark and Meadow Pipits.  The best came right at the end when I found these birds:-

Whinchat - Just passing through.

Stonechat - One of at least three present.
This included a female and at least two juveniles.
